Studying poppy seeds that have fallen from my bread on the table, with a magnifying glass, I find the same whimsical structure and form that was shown on the picture of a 1000-times enlarged photograph of poppy seeds.
Fascinating, the way continuously concatenated patterns of quadrilaterals and pentagons, hexagons and heptagons spread out over a peanut-like form, sprouting from a kind of omphalos.
Always harmonious, never identical, enlarged poppy-seeds, embryonic shapes with ridges to hold on to the earth, with invisible covers so it can contain ashes
